Wikiing!

 Hiiiiii, it's me again with another task about wikiing.

We created wiki pages on book reviews. I chose the novel called Herland. I chose this book because I love fictions in either movies or books. 

Aaaand what's more this book about feminism, so if you have some interest in such issues I believe this book is just for you! You know feminism is mostly misunderstood by people. This book clarifies that feminism isn't about women supremacy but about being human regardless of gender. 

If we come to my opinions of the task, I think doing things that are new to most of us makes us focus to the course more and keeps our attentions alive. So, for me wikiing was a pleasant experience. I see no reason not to use wikis with my future students!

☺ Podcasting! ☺

Hi, I'm back with my very first podcast experience. It is a vox-pop: Short for Vox Populi –“voice of the people” in Latin– a Vox Pop seeks to gauge public opinion around one central question (Kurt, 2020). 

At first, I was really excited to do this task, but when I actually started doing it, first I lacked about the question, then thanks to Halil -one of my classmates- the question was found. Then I couldn't collect the recordings together, but I found a solution for that too. I would feel sorry if I couldn't manage to finish this vox-pop podcast. Though it was a bit challenging, I'm really content about the outcome. 

I asked a question about covid-19, which is the most recent and wide agenda worldwide. The answers are mostly about sociality and education. I mostly agree all the answers.

After learning something new, in the future I would make my students go the same steps as I have. Because I really enjoyed the result and it made me happy. So, I would give a similar task to my learners so that they also both enjoy and learn in class.

21st Century Education and Technology Integration

Hello, here is some of my opinions about 21st century education and technology.

21st century is full of possibilities due to the facilities offered by technology. There are now more and more ways of teaching and learning. It is easier to access information thanks to search engines. If you have a cell phone and wi-fi with you, it is like carrying all the books, encyclopedias, dictionaries in one pocket. It's that easy to reach out any information.

As for education, the correct use of technology is the key. Those who will be teachers should be trained on using technology correctly and effectively, so that their future students won't be mis-guided. It gets harder to avoid technology as time passes. New generations are born into the technology and they are called digital natives. Due to the fact that the new generation gets accustomed to using technology even before they start school, it would be more easier for them to adapt learning new things if they face technology in school.
